Terms of Service

The service

Transkribeer is a free macOS app by All Things Yellow BV (BE 0507.817.368, Destelbergen, Belgium), trading as Transkribeer. The app records and transcribes audio — locally, with your own API keys, or through our paid "Pay per recording" cloud service.

Pay per recording

• You can pay in two ways: with a credit balance (Instant mode: currently €0.04 per minute of audio, billed per second — the current price is always shown in the app) or per individual recording with a €1.49 minimum. All prices include VAT and are shown before you pay.
• Credit is topped up via Stripe (€5, €10 or €25), stays valid for at least 12 months, and unused credit is refunded on request. For individual recordings you first get a free preview; after payment the full text is delivered immediately.
• Because the full text is delivered immediately after payment, you consent to instant delivery and the EU right of withdrawal for digital content lapses at that moment.
• Did a transcription demonstrably fail (for instance empty or unusable text due to an error on our side)? Email support@transkribeer.com and we will refund you.
• Reasonable usage limits apply to prevent abuse (including a maximum of 4 hours of audio per recording).

Your responsibilities

• Only record audio you have the right or permission to record; you are responsible for complying with recording and privacy laws that apply to you.
• Using your own API keys (OpenAI/Gemini)? Those providers' terms and pricing apply, and you are responsible for those costs.

Liability

AI transcription is never perfect; review important transcriptions yourself. The app and the service are provided as is. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the recording in question, except where the law does not allow such a limitation.
